Religious background - I am a Muslim. Not sure what sect actually, I think it's Sunni? Majority of Muslims in indonesia is of one teaching. I practice prayers, fasting, I don't drink alcohol or eat pork but I also don't wear a scarf. So you could argue I'm not that pious.

Current occupation - IT Analyst working in an Investment Bank

The things I love about Ramadhan - Just the expectation of being in a holy month.

The hardest/most annoying thing about Ramadhan - Having to wake up and cook at 4 am!

What I want to get out of Ramadhan this year - Fasting means not only to abstain from food but also excessive emotion (anger,hatred,depression etc). Looking of using this time to better control my emotion and focus in my day to day life.

My best Ramadhan memory - Coming home from school with a full table of sweet tasty snacks. 30 days of really good snacks. Another thing is the many azdan (call of prayer) duirng subuh (at dawn) and maghrib (at dusk) in Jakarta.
