First Fast in Karachi..

Its an interesting first day of Ramadan in Karachi, Pakistan. Yep, its still the first day because, for some reason, we can never sight the moon with the rest of the modern world. Anyway, just came back from a short trip outside. Its incredibly hot weather (34 Celsius, feels like 40!), and since I'm not fasting today, it is incredible how everyone is fasting and . All offices have shortened work hours, so the traffic, which is usually low during the afternoon, is completely opposite right now. Full fledged madness will start around 5, and then right before Iftar when everyone's trying to buy food at the last minute, tempers are at an all time high and everyone's trying to avoid looking at the countless billboards put up by restaurants, advertising Iftar buffets and discounts. Will blog about those, they're always an interesting experience! (and rather yummy too!)
