Jen
Name – Jennifer Harwood
Age - 26
Location – New York City, USA
Nationality - Australian
Home page - http://jennifer.nomadlife.org
Religious background – born Catholic, raised Catholic – private schools and all. Now still questioning what is right for me and still haven’t come up with the right answer. Secular is the closest it gets.
Current occupation – Middle East & North African Business Development, AIESEC US (Salaam Program and Expansions into Bahrain, Qatar and Oman).
The thing I love the most about Ramadan - Stopping to understand how part of the world lives daily – only have one meal a day – if that. Making sure hunger teaches us a bigger lesson about humility, greed, and what it is we truly need in life.
The hardest/most annoying thing about Ramadan – Water …
What I want to get out of Ramadan this year – to create a dialogue between people of all faiths and understand the core values of any religion and what binds us together.
My best Ramadan memory – Fou leaving the office every day to prepare the meal … just sitting down for dinner every day together and talking about life, I’ll never forget it. (Oh and her leaving a knife in the Pizza she had just made!).
