Religious background: Shia Muslim (Bohri). I'm a pure veggie. I drink occassionally and have recently picked up smoking. I dont go to mosques often. I'm more a citizen of the society than mere representing a particular community. Thus, I go to temples, churches, gurudwaras and celebrate all festivals.

The thing I love the most about Ramadan: The food and I feel that its an excuse for people to meet up, mingle with each other.

The hardest/most annoying thing about Ramadan: Waking up early in the morning.

What I want to get out of Ramadan this year: To discover more on "why do we observe fasts" on scientific basis - Why do muslim humans are required to fast for 30 days ....

My best Ramadan memory: The times when I used to go the Iftari parties with my Dad.
